Trust + security
Every counterparty verified. Every dollar in escrow.
AirParcels sits between two B2B counterparties who have to trust each other with rooftop access and recurring payments. The platform earns that trust through identity verification, escrow, and an auditable contract trail — not vibes.
Verification ladder
Four tiers. Every account earns its way up.
Each account belongs to a publicly-visible trust tier. The badge appears on every bid, contract, and dashboard surface so both parties always know who they're dealing with.
Browser
Tier 0
Email-verified only. Can browse the map and save listings. No bidding, no listing — purely observational.
Verified
Tier 1
Identity verified (KYC). Ready to claim a property or place a first bid. Most consumer-grade transactions sit here.
Trusted
Tier 2
Business entity verified (KYB) + signatory authority confirmed. Owners can publish listings. Operators can place bids on most listings.
Premier
Tier 3
Tier 2 plus a payout/payment method on file and (for operators) FAA Part 107 certificate + commercial drone insurance. Full marketplace access; appears first in counterparty sort orders.
Pillars
Four checks every active contract is built on.
Identity (KYC + KYB)
Individuals verify via state ID. Businesses verify via incorporation documents + a real-time check against state registries. Both run through a SOC-2 certified verification partner; we never store raw ID images.
Signatory authority
For LLCs and corporations, we don't just verify the business exists — we verify that the human signing on its behalf is named as a member, manager, or officer. The signatory check is a separate verification step that owners and operators can't skip.
Segregated escrow
When a contract activates, the operator funds escrow at signing. Funds live in a segregated FBO account (not commingled with our operating funds) and release on a schedule that matches the contract term. Both parties see the schedule and the current balance.
Insurance + FAA verification (operators only)
Every operator must carry commercial drone liability coverage that names AirParcels and the property owner as additional insureds. Their Part 107 certificate is checked against the FAA registry. Both expire — both get re-verified on a cron.
Data minimization
We hold what's needed. Nothing more.
- No raw ID images. The verification partner holds those; we receive only pass/fail + an audit reference.
- No bank account numbers. Payouts route through Stripe Connect; we hold a Stripe account ID, not your bank details.
- No insurance PDFs. Insurance is verified directly with the carrier via certificate of insurance (COI) lookup, not by uploading documents.
- No deposit funds we control. Escrow lives in a third-party FBO account that we are NOT a signer on; we instruct, the bank executes.
